Chamonix Off-Piste
Some of the best off-piste skiing in the world is probably located in one valley, the Chamonix Valley. The most famous off-piste run is the Vallee Blanche and there are four main variants. Whilst the Vallee Blanche is probably the most spectacular from a scenic perspective, its not necessary the best from a skiing perspective. As Chalet Ski holidays point out, Below the Brevent the steep and imposing couloirs below the Plan Praz cable-car or for something a little less extreme the Combe Lachenal that when snow conditions are good is picture perfect and considerably more gentle than the Brevent option. But one of the favourites with locals i the back bowls of La Tour, dropping into Vallorcine. Andd for those that like to stay closer to the piste the Grands Montets has great skiing between the Herse and the Bochard, or tke the Boachrd Gondola for the Lavancher bowl where the options are immense.
